Yang Single Whip to Turn and Chop
Single Whip to Turn and Chop (as in form and facing front)- I suggest you find a flat spot (not a hill) to practice this section of the form. Be sure your weight is transferred before you pivot on the empty (insubstantial) foot. Whenever you are lifting a foot, be absolutely sure the stationary leg is rooted with the knee relaxed and at least slightly bent. On Separate Foot, if you find that you are unstable, just touch down with the toe. Same thing after the last Separate Foot going into Brush Knee Left. Better to touch down then wobble or fall. Lots of weight shifts in this section of the form. Be sure the weight is on the correct foot.
